Admitting to being a beginner in web logging, I search for reasons to continue a blog. There is always the option to just let it go, no? I decided to create reasons to continue.
Defeat Unacceptable – My excellent book doula, Bethany Beams set up the website. It would be very embarrassing not to continue.
2) Practice Commitment – Now, does that mean the verb and directive to practice commitment or the noun, a practice commitment? Perhaps, both. I will commit to bi-weekly entries. Yes, it was very difficult to put that into writing! Benefits: to improve my writing skills by adding one more practice to my life. Do I really need another? More on practices later.
3) Uncertainty Principle – No, it’s not Heisenberg’s. For me, my uncertainty is also termed fear of the unknown. I believe it to be fairly common. There are the ‘what ifs’ and ‘ifs’. I don’t know IF…
– I can keep the commitment.
– I can be interesting.
– Anyone will read it.
– I can manage exposure.
– I know the purpose.
4) Define my purpose – In this post of August 17, 2018, I will write a blog for the purpose of sharing my journey as an author. As I am a psychotherapist (not psycho therapist) also, I can see that calling entering into my blog.
Speaking of psychology, it does seem a bit narcissistic to write about my thoughts, activities, and feelings. We’ll see how that goes.
My beginner blogger entry is complete. Until next time, think about your own uncertainties. What could/would you do if you were not frozen by the unknown? What is your purpose? It does not have to be the big lifetime purpose, it can be purpose for the coming week, month, or year. I welcome and wish for your comments.
Thanks for stopping by…
Peace
